Cottman was awarded the 2015 Automotive Communications award from the Car Care Council Women’s Board (WB) and the Automotive Communication Council (ACC) for its Cottman Man Blog. The award was presented at the Car Care Women’s Board Press Conference and Reception held on November 3, 2015 at AAPEX in Las Vegas.
Automotive Communications Award Winner
According to a press release issued by Rachel Weymouth, staff liaison for both groups, “The Automotive Communications Awards applaud those companies and agencies that provide automotive information to consumers and the trade professionals who interact with them on a daily basis. As a recipient of this award, the WB and ACC acknowledge your outstanding efforts in the automotive industry.”
The Cottman Man Blog (TheCottmanManBlog.com) offers a series of articles targeted to consumers, to provide basic repair information and service recommendations. It’s designed to help clear up common misconceptions and to provide consumers with solid recommendations to help keep their cars running right.
It also provides Cottman with a forum to introduce its centers across the country, and give consumers a chance to “meet” the neighborhood Cottman Man in their area.
“We’re honored to receive this award from such a distinguished group as the Car Care Council,” says Derik Beck, Vice President of Digital Marketing for Cottman. “Our goal was to provide clear, well-reasoned information for consumers, and we’re thrilled to have our efforts reinforced.”
